We paid HKD 1,500 and asked to cancel as soon as we saw the room. It looked dirty, there were used tissues left behind, stains on the bed, and no proper blanket. The staff offered no apology, help, attempt to fix things, or refund. We were simply dismissed, even though we didn't feel safe staying there. While we waited at reception, a western man arrived with an Asian woman wearing a very short skirt. They went into a room, she came back out and paid cash at the desk, then returned. The sounds from the room made the situation seem pretty obvious. There were even hourly rates posted at reception, which made the place feel more like somewhere rented by the hour than a proper hotel. This was one of the worst hotel stays I've had, and an outrageous waste of HKD 1,500. Hong Kong has dozens of better options. Avoid Ming Court Hotel.

The toilet was cramped, though the shower itself had warm water and good pressure, with soap, shampoo, and sandals supplied. The AC worked really well, and once the lights were off the room was very dark, with opaque windows. I was given a round foam bed, and a few mattress stains wouldn't come out, which left me wondering what had happened there. I was only stopping for a few hours between flights. The hotel was fairly easy to find with Google Maps, though one wrong turn added about 5-10 minutes on foot. There are two elevators, one serving even-numbered floors and the other odd-numbered ones. An older woman was at the front desk and didn't speak English, but luckily another person was there to help. By Hong Kong standards the room wasn't too bad, just that very cramped toilet.
