Hotel Cafe Boutique

After more than 24 hours of travel, we arrived to find that the rooms we had paid for in advance had been switched at the last minute. The assigned rooms were filthy: unchanged sheets with stains that looked like blood, bodily fluids including urine and blood in the bathroom, hair, and dirty floors and shower. No replacement rooms were available, and there was no housekeeper. The receptionist kindly tried to clean both rooms, but without the right supplies and because it wasn’t his job, he couldn’t do it properly. Since it was late and we had nowhere else to go, I got clean sheets, pillowcases, and towels from him, bought cleaning products, and changed the beds and cleaned the rooms myself. We also had to put up with noise from guests in the room above, which violated the hotel’s own contract. I went to reception about it, but nothing changed. Our problems weren’t resolved satisfactorily, despite being reported. I asked for a full refund and filed a formal complaint with evidence. They still haven’t even contacted me as a courtesy.

We got there exhausted at 8:30 pm, only to discover our Booking.com reservation had been canceled. The receptionist did nothing to help, and nobody even apologized. We were left to find another place to stay. I’ve never had anything like this happen before. Why take reservations if the rooms have already been sold? They made up a new check-in cutoff of 6:00 pm, even though Booking.com said check-in was allowed until 11:30 pm. Completely crazy. I don’t recommend this place.

The room was comfortable and very clean, and the service was great. The woman who welcomed us was really friendly, and the young man on duty when we checked in early in the morning was excellent too. He even helped me track down a taxi where I’d left my wallet. 10 out of 10.

We felt very welcome from the moment we arrived. The reception team were great, the hotel was comfortable and really nice, and breakfast was delicious. The service was incredible all the way through. I’d definitely stay here again next time I visit.
