Hostal Estrella de Agua - Hostel

This was a lovely hostel to stay at, and we'd come back. Leonardo and the other reception staff were really helpful: they showed us the available rooms and arranged a taxi to the airport. The nightly price was good value. Rooms are simple, clean, and cosy. We liked having a shared kitchen and a free pool table, and breakfast was very good. It's right near the town square and the spot where you can catch a Willy jeep to Cocora Valley and other places. There's also a supermarket and a very nice bakery just a few minutes away.

The common area is beautiful, and the location is close to central Salento. I needed a room at the last minute, and the lovely señora at reception quickly arranged a private one for me. It had a large bed, private toilet and shower with hot water, and breakfast was included. The price came to 180,000 COP. Breakfast was two eggs, a piece of bread, a biscuit, a bowl of fruit, and coffee. My room was downstairs, where I could hear a lot from above: people walking and talking, plus dogs barking. It could stay noisy until 10 pm, though I'm an easy sleeper and it wasn't a major problem. All in all, I had a positive stay and am very grateful to the señora who helped me on January 30.

Jefferson and Leonardo Lerra were welcoming and really helpful. I had a great stay: the beds were comfortable, the rooms quiet, and the Wi-Fi worked well. Breakfast was enjoyable too.

We had a lot of fun at the jacuzzi nights, and the outdoor community kitchen was really nice. The hostel is central and feels safe, with pleasant activities and lovely reception staff. Breakfast hours are quite limited, and the food isn't amazing, but it's nice to have it included for free when booking a double room.
