La Tia Emiss

Right in the middle of Salento, this place feels brand new. It had only opened six months earlier when I stayed. The rooms were very clean and the bed was comfortable. Such a beautiful hotel!

We got in very late to check in, but the staff were still extra nice to us. The hotel is beautiful and really close to the main park. Coffee and tea are provided, and the Wi-Fi is available and decently fast.

The room was damp, had no space for clothes, and needed airing out. We couldn't do that because the ceiling fan wasn't working. It was also noisy, with children and dogs coming and going around the open breakfast area. There were two of us, my daughter and me, but we were given a double bed even though rooms with single beds were available. When we asked to switch, management wouldn't approve it. Jesus and Leidy, who work at the hotel, were both very kind. The problem was management's unwillingness to sort out something that seemed easy to fix. I wouldn't recommend staying here, and I wouldn't come back.

The design around the central courtyard is well done, and the hotel feels spacious. Service was attentive, and I thought it was good value for the money.
