The owner Gustavo was friendly and helpful, and it was excellent value for money. The open kitchen and living room felt really homey, and the room was clean, with plenty of space and a very comfortable big bed. The location was just right, close to the center but away from its noise. We had a beautiful stay in this little oasis in San Gil. Highly recommended!

Tatiana was the real gem here. While making a lovely breakfast, she gave us helpful information about buses, local activities, safety, and restaurants. The communal spaces are nicely decorated and roomy enough for reading, relaxing, or chatting with other guests. It's a great little place just beyond the chaos of central San Gil.

We stayed five nights and can absolutely recommend it. Gustavo was kind and helpful with all sorts of things, and really went out of his way to make guests feel at home and enjoy San Gil. Our booking included breakfast, which was really good for what we paid. The double bed was very large and comfortable. It's in a quieter part of town a little outside the center, but the main square, terminalito, shopping mall, restaurants, and ATMs are all within walking distance.

Gustavo and the team were very helpful when we arrived early and when we had a late departure, and they also helped arrange several tours. The location was good, the room and beds were great, and the shared area was cozy and nice for relaxing. Breakfast was well organized too. A great stay at Merika hostel, and I'd definitely recommend it!
