I stayed for two weeks and had a hard time leaving. It’s clean, the beds are great, and the staff looked after me really well when I got sick. Muchas Gracias, Diego, Silvia, Karen, Dante and everyone else. Hope to see you again! The hostel is peaceful enough to relax or get work done, but still has a social feel, which is a rare mix. They put on activities each evening, sometimes together with other hostels, so it’s easy to meet people. I’d especially recommend it if you’re traveling solo. The team makes sure everyone feels welcome and has what they need, and you can tell this place means a lot to them. Breakfast is tasty and inexpensive. There’s plenty to see around San Gil, and you can book activities through the hostel without fees.

The people here were so kind, and booking activities around San Gil was easy. I slept really well in the great beds, and the whole stay was wonderful. I’d recommend it to anyone.

The rooms have plenty of space, the beds are roomy and comfortable, and the showers have strong pressure. Breakfast is great for the price, and the staff help with planning and activities. Diego, Sylvia, Karin and Valentina were especially thoughtful and went out of their way to make my stay feel perfect. One of the best hostels I’ve stayed at, and I hope to return.

This Is Colombia is right in the center of town, so it’s easy to get around. The rooms were nice, and the beds clean and comfortable. San Gil is a lovely, welcoming place, and the hostel fits right in. Even before I arrived late by bus from Bogota, the staff were messaging to check whether I needed anything. They kept that same attentiveness throughout my stay. Reception were so friendly, always up for a chat, helping me make the most of town, relax, or practice my Spanish. They encourage guests to join the nightly events. I played in a big football match with locals and other guests, and took part in a large tejo competition.

Really good beds and rooms, and the crew were the best I’ve met. It’s quiet but still social. One of the crew had a birthday, and I went partying with them. Recommend it.
