Green Forest Vacations Homes

The Green Forest vacation homes were a great base for our couple of nights visiting Santa Elena /Monteverde. The setup is beautiful and very clean, with big windows. It’s handy for the Monteverde reserve and Santa Elena town, with shops and restaurants within walking distance and a beautiful Brie of mountains to walk to. The office was easy to reach and quick to respond. Highly recommend.

We had two cabins for our two families, one bedroom for four people and two bedrooms plus a loft for six. The kitchen was small but worked perfectly, and the cabins made for an affordable, comfortable start to our trip. There are just three cabins, and the pool is enclosed on three sides and open on the fourth. It’s really nice, very warm, almost hot, and practically private with so few cabins using it. The location was central and convenient. At check-in, the concierge at the nearby glamping place was efficient and helpful without being pushy, and there was free beer on arrival. When part of our group had travel delays getting into San Jose, they helped us think through transport options and eventually booked a private shuttle that brought them back together with us. We’d definitely stay again.

The property is great, and having a swimming pool was a plus. It’s close to everything, and we’d stay again next time we’re in Montaverde. On our first trip to CR, the Green Forest resort (Chira Glamping) staff made us feel at home. They suggested routes from Liberia, helped with activity reservations, answered all our questions, and were very responsive and proactive.

Emily was a big help throughout our Monteverde stay, arranging activities ahead of time and handling last-minute changes. It’s a great private villa, and I’d recommend it to anyone visiting.
