A roomy, clean cottage, with a big pergola, playground, and useful facilities.

The children have great facilities here, including a big playground, a fireplace, and a barbecue. The cottage is new and lovely, and the location is great too.

The cottage was spotless and had excellent equipment, but we ran into one unpleasant surprise after another. The internet didn’t work at first. The owner blamed frequent outages from the provider, yet after the power went out on day three, we switched it back on and the internet worked again. So it only needed a router restart, and the router is tucked away outside the tenants’ area. We also hadn’t been clearly told on Booking.com about extra electricity costs. The amenities listed “heating,” which made it sound like there wouldn’t be an additional charge. Then someone who wasn’t the owner came to give us the keys and demanded €350 for electricity, even though the meters supposedly showed €100. We handed over €50 and were meant to transfer the rest to her account. After we got in touch with the owner, we found out she’d kept that €50 and hadn’t passed it on. That ruined the stay for us. We won’t come back.

We had a great time. The property is lovely, the location and price are both great, and there’s a wide range of amenities and toys for kids. The owner was friendly and easygoing.
