Pension Gardena Kaplická 3

Eva and her daughter were wonderful, breakfast was great, and the location was right across the street from the old town area with all the shops and restaurants. We really enjoyed our visit. A couple of things we learned: it’s close to the bus station, but from the train station it’s a long uphill walk, so consider a taxi or bus. Our apartment on the third floor didn’t have air conditioning, but opening the windows and turning on the fans was fine.

We could get to the main sights easily on foot, then come back to a quiet spot away from the traffic rolling past the door. The owner was incredibly welcoming, and breakfast was among the best we had on the trip. The charming rooms share a fridge and microwave, with a hot water kettle on each floor. We'd happily stay again.

The apartment was lovely and clean, with a view of the castle and comfortable beds and pillows. It's very close to the bus station, too. Eva welcomed us so gently and warmly that we felt at home. Highly recommend, and thank you, Eva, for taking such good care of us. ☺️

Room 5 was huge, with two bedrooms and one bathroom, and had a lovely chateau-like feel. The view was spectacular, with the chateau tower visible from the room. The hotel has a cozy atmosphere, antiques throughout the rooms and corridors, and a beautiful garden. Staff were very friendly. The only small drawback was the steep staircase up to the room. I'd recommend it.
