It’s a very quiet spot, about a 15-minute drive from Karlovy Vary. The guesthouse is next to a lovely hotel, which is where reception and breakfast are. Our second-floor room had an adjoining kitchen. As in most hotels, it wasn’t possible to darken the room.

There’s a train station close by, with hourly trains to Karlovy Vary (Carlsbad) and Mariánské Lázně (Marienbad). The guesthouse is part of an upscale hotel complex for golfers. Our room was spacious and nicely furnished, and the hotel’s wellness facilities can be used for an extra fee.

There’s a lot of peace and quiet at Pension U Golfu, right by the golf course in Cihelny, surrounded by nature. The rooms are comfortably furnished, and one has a kitchenette, a bedroom with a fireplace, and a terrace. The Castle Nature Park is romantic, and the Castle Restaurant serves a generous buffet breakfast. It also has a summer terrace, reception, wellness, and fitness facilities. The hotel complex welcomes children and pets.
