Numa Prague Poise

The location was the best part, with easy access to anything we needed. Getting the room early at no charge was also a nice help after a long trip. Ours wasn't very big, but it was comfortable, and with the windows shut the noise was quite manageable despite being on a busy central avenue. The top-floor room had a huge glass wall that acted like a magnifying glass. It was 29C inside, even though our March trip had a maximum outside temperature of 15C. The AC was capped at 23C, so it barely helped. We contacted them on WhatsApp and got a quick reply; maintenance came to look, but all they could really do was open the windows. Since it was early March, nights dropped to 1/2 degrees and we slept okay. We were out most of the day, so got through the weekend, and they did say they'd move us to another room if needed. I can't imagine how manageable that would be in summer.

The heated floors were a great touch, and the location was perfect. The place was clean, with warm, really spacious rooms. It was amazing!

We'd completed virtual check-in and received all the access details on arrival day, so we thought everything was set for our three-day stay at Numa Prague Poise. We got there at noon after travelling to Prague, planning to leave our luggage as the instructions said storage was possible from 7 a.m. Instead, our access was blocked. We were told the reservation had been cancelled unilaterally and we had no room. We'd travelled for many hours with our 1-year-old baby, so I asked if they could at least let us in to store our bags while we found somewhere else. They refused. They called refunding our payment an “exception,” as if keeping money without providing the service had been an option. A refund didn't help us there and then. We had to find another hotel at the last minute, and it cost much more because of the urgency and lack of availability. For a stress-free holiday and a booking you can rely on, don't use Numa.

My second-floor room felt like it was inside the train station. It shook whenever a train went by, and that was nonstop. I didn't want to spend another minute there, let alone try sleeping. I asked to change rooms, but none were available. Messages through WhatsApp could be very slow, so I found another hotel instead. They refused to reimburse my first night, even though I never spent any time in the room. A very disappointing experience. I'd strongly recommend looking elsewhere for accommodation in Prague.
