Hotel U Divadla

We spent two nights here on a short city break. The hotel is a bit out of the way, but it's in a nice, quiet area with a few shops, bakeries, and pubs nearby, away from the city's bustle. We used Bolt to get around. The ride from the airport was around £17 after conversion, and trips to the city center took about 20 minutes and cost £3-£4. Both my partner and I got 40% off our first three rides when we downloaded the app, though Bolt was still cheap and convenient without the discount. At check-in, the friendly staff gave us vouchers and discount codes for the city center. On the way out, we got a delicious biscuit, a lovely touch. Our room on the third floor was spacious, with large windows and a fan. The beds were comfortable, the bathroom was big, and there was a mini bar, complimentary jug of water, hair dryer, and reasonably sized wardrobe. The TV had no UK channels apart from Sky News, which is understandable, but useful for UK guests to know. Breakfast was included and served buffet style, with hot dishes and a good continental selection: cold meats, different breads, homemade cakes, fruit, cheese, yoghurt, and salad. There was also a waffle and pancake station with cream, sprinkles, and sauces, which was a fun extra. The hotel was cosy, clean, and pleasant. It is a little dated, but that didn't bother us, though it's something to consider if you're after somewhere modern.

The room was exceptionally clean, and the staff were so friendly. Breakfast was amazing. The hotel is near public transport, and although Old Town and other sights are a long walk away, it's an easy one with plenty to see along the way. My only downside was the lack of a kettle in the room, since we like having a hot drink there before heading down to breakfast. That's just personal preference. I'd definitely recommend it.

We had a very good experience at hotel U Divadla this Christmas. When we arrived, the staff gave us discounts, leaflets, maps, and helpful advice for making the most of our stay. They were friendly, and the service was great. The rooms were kept clean and were a good standard. Breakfast was good too, with something for everyone, including English breakfast. The hotel is about 15 minutes from the old town center. Prague has lots to do, and Uber rides here are very cheap compared with England. Trams and buses are also available.

This is a lovely little hotel in the quiet Branik area. The tram is about a 10-minute walk away, and takes around 20 minutes to reach central Prague. Tram 17 follows the river and offers lovely scenery on the way into the city. The hotel is clean and the staff are friendly. Although it's listed as four-star, I'd rate it three-star. The rooms are very small, but breakfast has a nice buffet selection. They don't serve dinner, which is a shame since there isn't much competition nearby. That said, there's a great, friendly restaurant less than two minutes away on foot.
