We’d stayed at the hotel twice a year for several years and always appreciated the hospitality and high level of service. This most recent visit was a letdown, with a noticeable drop in service. At check-in, nobody helped with our luggage or showed us to the room; we were just handed the keys. After we changed rooms, most of the amenities were missing. When we pointed it out, staff said they’d been forgotten because we’d moved rooms. That felt careless and unprofessional. We also asked for a dental kit, only to be told the hotel had run out. That seemed surprising for a hotel of this standard. Some staff have changed, and sadly the service seems to have declined with them. This visit fell well short of what we’d come to expect from earlier stays, and has made us reconsider coming back.

The cappuccino costs 80 kc, and at that price I expected top-quality beans. I went around all of Špindl looking for the best coffee, but this definitely wasn’t it. The hotel might be great, but the coffee was a real disappointment.

The ski storage room was handy during our ski days, and breakfast was fresh and tasty every morning. Staff were warm, helpful, and friendly, and the room was spacious, very clean, and comfortable enough for us to relax from the moment we arrived. We spent our honeymoon at Hotel Savoy Špindlerův Mlýn and loved it. The hotel is stylish and cozy, and in our view the best place to stay in the area. It made for a perfect romantic winter getaway, and we felt completely at ease and well looked after. We’d love to come back!

The rooms are comfortable, the food is superb, and the staff make you feel welcome. Our child even got a little welcome gift and the cutest owl-shaped key card. We’ve stayed here four times now and are happy to return every time. Already looking forward to the next visit.
