We had a basic, clean room with comfortable beds and a little balcony looking out over the Rhine. They helped us get our bikes into the cellar, too. Just right for a night.

We phoned to ask whether they had somewhere secure for our bikes. They said they did and told us to book through booking.com. As soon as I hung up, I checked the site and the price had gone up.

The owners were pleasant, and breakfast was good. A very nice hotel by the Rhein.

My kids and I stayed here, and I wouldn’t recommend it. The beds were full of fleas and bed bugs. When I raised this with the owner, he threatened to hit me. My kids and I had to go to the hospital for cream for scabies, and someone else at reception, staying in another room, had the same problem. This shouldn’t be classed as a hotel. It isn’t fit for people to stay in.

Really bad hotel. Everything’s old, and the man at the desk refused to check people in and cancelled the reservation. DO NOT BOOK IT.
