Breakfast was generous and could conveniently be eaten in the room; some rooms also look out over the Elbe. We liked the accommodation and its location. The ferry terminal is right outside, so Bad Schandau is only a few minutes away. The hotel's restaurant, the Ziegelscheune, is 800 meters away and served good food. If you need a fully dark room to sleep, bring an eye mask depending on the season, or choose a ground-floor room with folding shutters.

There is a kitchen for anyone who wants to cook, and I felt very comfortable here. The breakfast was tasty and beautifully presented, though it could have had a little more variety. Parking might be difficult, especially in peak season. It's a small, charmingly furnished place with a balcony and terrace, right by the ferry landing. The views of the Elbe and the mountains are lovely. Although the house is near the railway tracks, the trains didn't bother us. Thank you.

We stayed from Monday through Saturday and would gladly return. The staff and breakfast were excellent, and the location worked very well. Our guest card also gave us several discounts, including on the ferry to Bad Schandau. My one small comment is about the room description. It might be better to rethink the phrase "separate bedroom" because these are very nice one-room apartments.

We stayed in the helmsman's cabin and loved it. It was very clean, had a small kitchenette, and practically everything we needed. There's also a room for storing bikes. Thanks to the unseen "little helpers" for leaving such a fantastic breakfast right outside our door in the morning 😉. The balcony view is magnificent.
