I chose the dishes for particular ingredients, but some were missing or barely there, and the plates didn’t match what the menu described. I discussed everything with the staff. They apologized and promised to improve, and said the restaurant was in transition and the menus were out of date. I hope they sort that out soon. I arrived at 8:30pm, but waited 25 minutes before anyone took my order. My beer came ten minutes later, so it was 35 minutes in total. There were only four tables dining on the ground floor. I ordered lamb with chanterelles and potato purée mainly because of the wild mushrooms. There were only three chanterelles, along with a lot of semi-raw vegetables that weren’t listed on the menu. They brought me more mushrooms when I asked. The red wine reduction was just a regular meat broth or sauce. They offered a free dessert to make up for the lack of mushrooms, which I appreciated. I’d been considering the vanilla ice cream with wild strawberries because they’re a delicacy, but they turned out to be regular strawberries, and there were far too many for the small scoop of ice cream.

Michael gave us wonderful service, and the atmosphere was amazing. The restaurant is almost 200 years old. We had the best homemade apple strudel ever!

We went to the restaurant on 26/12/2025 as a family with two kids. Mr. Noir Ahmad and Ionut were very professional and accommodating in every way, even letting us taste the wine before we ordered. The historic restaurant has a quiet, comfortable atmosphere. Five-star reviews all around. Danke shon!

The room had a lovely atmosphere, and the meal was superb. The wait staff were friendly and offered great suggestions, which made the whole experience especially nice.
