Hotel AMANO Grand Central

I usually try to leave positive reviews, but staying here felt uncomfortable. There was a tense, awkward atmosphere among the staff, and the manager's behavior toward the team seemed to contribute to it. The interactions between management and employees looked dismissive and uneasy to watch. The staff didn't seem comfortable, and that affected the mood of the hotel. A welcoming feel starts behind the scenes, and something felt off here.

During the week this is a convenient place to stay near the Bahnhof, but I'd avoid Friday and Saturday nights. The top-floor bar goes until 5:00 am, with really heavy bass that you can hear and feel even on the first floor. I love music and go to festivals, but this was LOUD. When I complained, one of the club guys said they often have the police called over noise complaints. That's not what you want from a hotel where you've paid to get some rest.

I booked through Booking.com because the pictures showed a bathtub, which was the only reason I chose this hotel. I had much better options otherwise. But my room only had a walk-in shower. A staff member said they'd move me to an upgraded room the next day if one became available, and checked that something should be free. The next day I got the same excuse, no availability. That completely ruined my Berlin experience. They did add free breakfast to my room, which was at least some service, but I already had plans and couldn't attend. Scam scam scam.

There was shouting late into the night, and a lot of noise from the bar upstairs. I also saw guests smoking in the hallways. I wouldn't recommend staying here if you're looking to get some rest.
