Cityflair Berlin Apartments & Rooms

The room had a nice feel, even though it wasn't really set up for four people and we had to make it work. Getting in was fairly simple: we used two codes for the entrance and key box, so check-in was contactless. The location was the best part.

The morning we were due to arrive for our family trip to Berlin, we were told our booking had been canceled because of an emergency involving water damage. We'd booked and paid four weeks earlier. I tried calling reception but only got the answering machine, and the advance payment still hasn't been returned. I can't recommend this accommodation. I still believe people can be good, but I have to admit I suspect the owner canceled us at short notice to take a more profitable booking.

The rooms have no windows, just a skylight that doesn't open, though there is ventilation. It's clean and comfortable enough for a few nights, even right on noisy Frankfurter Allee. On two days, the cleaning staff sat just outside our room. We found it a little intrusive and felt as if we were being watched.

We only stayed one night, so we didn't need the kitchen, though it was there along with plenty of toilets and bathrooms. I was a bit doubtful about this B&B at first, but it works well for short trips or if you won't be spending much time in your room.
