Esfand Hostel

We appreciated that the central but quiet hotel let us bring our pet for free, and the staff were polite and helpful. We were disappointed by the room and breakfast, though. The bathroom paint was peeling, the door handle was coming off, there were streaks on the floor, and loose parts in the shower. It didn't make for a pleasant stay. The breakfast buffet was partly empty, with a jumble of random plates, which ruined the feel of a hotel breakfast for me. Cleanliness wasn't up to par either. We were reimbursed for breakfast, but didn't want to change rooms for a stay of only two nights.

The rooms are spacious, with big TVs and nice balconies, and the quiet, cozy street gives you a feel for local life. The staff were sweet, friendly, and very helpful, though they may need to hire more people. The garden is beautiful, and the interiors mix classic and modern styles. It feels like a palace turned into a chic boutique hotel. By far the best hotel in Berlin for me, a real hidden gem. I'd stay again and again. Thank you!!!!!

A charming hotel in the Tiergarden district. The room was spacious and contemporary, though only moderately clean. Drinks from the minibar were included and replenished daily. The staff were nice and helpful. We'd recommend it to anyone.

We only stayed two nights, but we enjoyed the hotel enough that we've already talked about coming back for longer. We slept really well, and the rooms were clean and comfortable. They provided a travel cot and bedding for our toddler, who also slept well. The staff were all friendly and helpful, and the location is good, within walking distance of plenty of amenities, with Berlin's excellent public transport system as another option. We ate in the lounge once and enjoyed the food. We didn't have a drink at the bar, so can't rate it. The one letdown was the minibar selection, which is included in the room price. My wife wasn't impressed with the choices, while I had a beer and she had a Pepsi or water. Still, this was quite possibly one of the loveliest hotels we've stayed in.
