It’s a good price for a nice hotel in a quiet area, with convenient access to transport and places to eat. I arrived an hour and a half early and was kindly given a room right away. Some staff are nicer than others, though. The soundproofing isn’t great: you can often hear people through the walls, especially when they’re loud or use the stairs instead of the elevator.

We stayed here for a concert at the nearby Metropol. The hotel was absolutely brilliant, and the reception staff were amazing and really helpful!

2/10
The sound insulation is practically nonexistent. I was woken several times by ordinary guest noise, like footsteps from the room above and people talking in the corridor. The rooms were decent and clean, though a bit dated. But the night staff treated me so badly when I tried to get back in to sleep in the early hours that I can’t give more than one star. Some even refused to let me inside and made me negotiate, which was humiliating and infuriating at that nightly price. The fix seems simple: repair the card scanner outside. I won’t return. The whole experience was very mediocre for what I paid, which felt like a luxury price.

Jahn was a perfect host and helped us work out which way to go on our daily trips. Public transportation is easy to reach. The room was excellent, and the bathroom was great, with a beautiful tub and shower, plenty of hot water, and good pressure.

A charming, spacious place with a lovely courtyard where you can take your coffee and read. Great value for its location near Nollendorf station. I’d definitely stay again.
