Honestly, this is a reliable spot for getting around by transit. Evening walks are great too, with nice cafés and döner shops. This is the only U-bahn route with good ventilation, and it stays cool even in scorching heat. . . . . Photo copyright*

There are plenty of station entrances, so you can get in without crossing the busy streets at the intersection. The station was fairly clean, with pictures showing it in past years. Buying a ticket was easy: the machine had an English option, and the validation box was right beside it. Remember to validate before boarding.

There are lots of small shops and restaurants nearby, and there are always people around. The surrounding buildings are really nice and interesting. The M10 is an important line from here and runs nearly 24/7. U5 is a great line too, though lately it has become very crowded. I felt safer here than on some other U-Bahn lines. There’s a lot of car traffic, so it’s very loud. The cars are plentiful and fast, which can make it feel dangerous, and I wouldn’t feel secure biking here. Better to use smaller side roads. It’s often dirty because people litter.
