A cozy, friendly place for a weekend away from the busy tourist spots, with walking trails in the Black Forest Mountains. It’s a nice hostel, though a little run down. The hospitality makes up for that.

The hosts even helped us deal with a flat tire, and the service was lovely. We really enjoyed our stay, especially the excellent schnitzel and cordon bleu. The rooms were nice and cozy. Fully recommend it.

It’s a small, cozy place with free Wi-Fi, but be aware that they don’t speak English at all. Food-wise, there’s one kind of soup, several meat dishes including different schnitzels and a steak, plus noodles for vegetarians.

We got there after opening hours, but the owner let us in and cooked us a delicious traditional German meal. It was very nice for the price we paid.

The owner was very nice and the food was good. The beds could be more comfortable, but it’s a charming place overall.
