It's a good place to stay in Dresden if you don't need to go into the city center, and parking is free. I just wish there were more sockets in the room, since the lack of them was really inconvenient. The elevator was also a little scary because it tried to move before the doors had closed. I'd suggest the staff and hotel take steps to maintain it.

A cosy, pleasant hotel that works well for me as an overnight stop when I travel. The price is good, check-in was easy, check-out was late, and breakfast was good.

The breakfast was great, especially the egg station, though you have to go to the other side of the building for it. The layout is odd and made me wonder if the hotel had another purpose in the past. It's an old-fashioned place, but my room and bathroom were clean and comfortable, and the staff were friendly. I used the elevator just once because it seemed close to collapsing and felt scary. Reception told me not to park in front of the hotel. The free parking garage is across the street in a separate building, so I wasn't sure how secure it was, and it's not very close to the hotel. There's an alpine restaurant in that building too, but I didn't try it.

Service is almost nonexistent, which didn't surprise me in Germany, I'd add. The rooms are tidy and clean, though old-fashioned. The location is handy if you're travelling by car, with free hotel parking for up to three days, about a three-minute walk from the entrance.
