The location was perfect, close to the market, old town, and more. We were so glad to stay here during our trip to Düsseldorf. Our room was spacious and clean, and the staff were kind and courteous, whether helping us check in early or bringing extra coffee pods. We had a lovely stay.

I booked a "Premium Comfort Suite" for 2 nights through direct-book.com, the official site, and it was advertised with air-conditioning. Soon after booking, the owner sent me a Whatsapp with the room number and door code. I arrived an hour later, at 10pm, and found there was no AC. When I called to ask why, he said it wasn't really that warm, although it was, and that he could arrange a portable airconditioner, whatever that is, but only the next day because it was too late. So I was supposed to manage without AC. I told him that wouldn't work because I chose the room specifically for AC, and said I was leaving and expected a cancellation with a full refund since the room didn't match its description. He refunded only the second night, claiming the "system" wouldn't allow him to refund the first night after the fact, total BS. When I challenged that, the reason changed to "no refund because my booking was made on short notice". Clearly a fraudster running this place and ruining the city's reputation. As a matter of principal, I filed a police report and will follow up with other actions. Avoid this trap at all cost.

I've stayed at many hotels, but this one felt just like home. The atmosphere was amazing, and staying here is truly worth it. I'll definitely come back again!

Once again, the owner's reply shows the bad faith they act in. They're now claiming I never booked, but I did, booking reference BB25032016906920. Thankfully, my bank, Barclays, was able to recover my funds because the provider had acted in bad faith, without needing the vendor's approval, despite what was stated in the reply. Masoud, the vendor, had said I never paid in the first place. I booked a refundable stay for May 2025 after finding the place on Google. The website didn't work, so I contacted Masoud, who emailed me a manual payment link. I paid in full for the refundable option, then later had to cancel. When I asked for a refund, Masoud claimed they hadn't received payment, even though I sent screenshots of the transaction and proof that he had sent the link. They tried to deny the whole thing and keep my money, but my bank recovered it. This was a clear attempt to scam me. Book somewhere else. Better to pay more for a legitimate, trustworthy place than deal with this kind of behaviour.
