The room smelled of old cigarettes and the beds were worn out. Nobody was at the front desk when we arrived; after waiting half an hour, someone finally showed up. We checked in around 2:30 and left by 4. There was no staff around to hear a complaint. Shame I can't give it zero.
The price was reasonable, and the room was clean with a comfortable bed and spotless bathroom. Breakfast was good too. The woman at the service desk was especially kind and helpful, many thanks to her. Thanks for the service.
They canceled my reservation at 8 pm and left me with nowhere to sleep that night. Absolutely shameful of them, and of German tourism. I'm hugely disappointed.
We tried to check out between 9 and 11, but nobody was there. We had to leave by 11, and when we came back at 1 pm, a staff member said we needed to pay for the day because we were three hours late. That feels like a scam to make us pay more. The check-in was a problem too: we waited 20 minutes in the lobby, and no one came. A woman who didn't work there told us to just take the keys ourselves, so apparently anyone could pick them up. The hotel shouldn't claim to have 24/7 service.
We asked more than once while booking and again at reception for one double bed, but were given two singles instead. There was no room cleaning during our stay either; the beds were left unmade and the towels hanging. It was an okay experience.
