bed & breakfast filderstadt by heller

For what the room costs, you get a lot: a bathroom, TV, kettle, mini-fridge with a freezer section, and a big comfortable bed. I’ve rarely seen room amenities like these even in three-star hotels. The room itself is lovely and looks just like it does on the website. The landlady was very friendly. If I’m in the area again, I already know where I’ll book.

Getting around was easy, with buses and other transport close by, and it’s a particularly good location. The service was kind, helpful, and just right. My room was airy, very clean, nicely decorated, and had what I needed for a pleasant stay.

The hillside setting was a highlight for me. You get views toward the Swabian Alps on one side and Filderstadt on the other, and it’s lovely for a morning jog or walk. Nights were very quiet. For groceries you’ll need to head down the hill, and Aldi, Lidl, and the other supermarkets are easier to get to by car. I stayed two nights in this small one-room apartment in the landlords’ house and felt at home right away. It’s cozy, tastefully furnished and decorated, and everything was tidy and clean. The bathroom is beautifully tiled and well equipped. They’d left water and a glass, plus a kettle with tea and instant coffee to choose from. There was TV and Wi-Fi too. I’d gladly come back and recommend the place.

There’s plenty of parking nearby. The basement room has its own entrance and a private bathroom, which was nice. Reception was poor in the room on both of the two mobile networks I tried. The Wi-Fi signal down there was weak too, and there was little to no TV reception.
