The service was excellent and the rooms themselves were nice, which is why I’d like to give this place one star for those parts. The rest was ridiculous: some weird goth show with music blasting until 2 am on a Wednesday. I’m not sure what the point is. The rooms aren’t soundproofed enough, so you hear music all night. Maybe that’s why they offer you a shot of vodka at check-in. This could be a much better hotel, but instead it’s aiming for a gothic, IV-drip parade for 45+ year olds nobody asked for.

The health spa is the standout: two water massage tables, four massage pools, a sauna, steam room, two red light therapy stations, and two cold plunge pools. They’re generally used nude in a mixed setting. It’s mostly men, though I saw the odd couple. Robes, slippers, and towels are provided. The gym next door is basic, with two treadmills, a bike, cable machine, bench and dumbbells up to 25kg, plus a dip and pull-up station, but it’s enough for a good workout. Room service food was very good, and breakfast was good too, with eggs to order plus meats, cheeses, cereal, fruit, yogurt, and more. The rooms are plush and service very good. The hotel is close to the train station, though the main office hub is about a 15-20 minute walk. Some people exaggerate how rough the surrounding area is; it felt perfectly fine and safe at all hours. The small, intimate bar gets busy all night, even on weeknights. It has a DJ, thumping music, and allows indoor smoking, if that’s your thing.

My three stars are for the bar, not the hotel. The hotel and its service are excellent. I first went in 2022 and have been back many times since, but the DJ over the past year has been awful and has killed the vibe it had in 2022/23. They mostly let in hotel guests or hot girls. Drinks are overpriced but good quality. I’m not sure they’re worth it, though you’re paying for the vibe and being there. Hotel management, please change the DJ, he’s awful, honestly.

The stay itself was fine, but the payment rules caused an unnecessary hassle. Roomers Frankfurt (Autograph Collection) required the deposit to be paid strictly by credit card, and I wasn’t carrying one. They also accepted only euros, so I had to go out to an exchange office and convert dollars to euros just to check in. For a hotel in this category, I expected more flexible options, such as debit cards or cash in other major currencies. It was an unpleasant experience for international guests.
