Hotel Zentrum

Top 👍

The central location didn't make up for the rest. The rooms were dirty, with stains on the sheets, and the walls are so thin you hear everything next door. A drunk guest was banging on all the doors, and there was never any staff around. I wouldn't recommend it.

The location is terrible, with homeless people around the hotel and what felt like a complete ghetto. In the building opposite, the windows had sheets and aluminum foil instead of curtains, and it looked like some kind of hostel or nursery. Never again. The check-in code didn't work again when I arrived, and reaching anyone was very difficult with only a check-in machine. I had to wait for a small room to be cleaned and the beds made before I could check in. The walls are thin enough to hear everything. There was a locked door beside the bed leading to the next room, and the vacuum cleaner hit it during cleaning. I could hear coughing and snoring through it as if someone were lying beside me. The cabinet dust hadn't been wiped in years. There was no cleaning for five days, and I had the same towel and the same spider in my room the whole time. The hallway fire alarm went off often, but neither the hotel nor the firefighters responded!!!

I booked and paid for two nights, but left at 5:30 a.m. after an awful night. Construction workers from the former Yugoslavia staying in the house partied until 1:30 a.m. Around 1:00 it got extremely loud, with a lot of banging on my door. I didn't answer or open it. They were talking loudly on their phones and playing Balkan music. The room and bathroom were clean and adequately sized, and the landlord was friendly. I did have to wait 20 minutes, then everything moved very quickly. I'm a construction worker too and have stayed in many places, but I definitely won't book there again.
