Aparthotel York

A really cozy little hotel, with a balcony off the room and a small kitchen facing the courtyard path. Shops and nice cafes are just around the corner, and the staff were so attentive. Thanks!

I felt so uncomfortable leaving my suitcase in the room that I would have rather taken it with me. I’d come to Hamburg on Friday afternoon for a seminar and only wanted to drop my things off and freshen up. Whenever I stepped out briefly, the chambermaid seemed to hang around nearby and watch me. It gave me the impression she was spying on me, and I was sure she’d rush into the room to snoop as soon as I left. As a woman traveling alone for work, I felt disrespected. Never again.

Hofweg has plenty of good places to eat, and the Uhlenhorst district has convenient bus links for getting around Hamburg. Parking took a little patience, but we did find a spot, and there were garage spaces available too. We stayed in a charming apartment at Hotel York with a pleasant view of the greenery. The building's attractive architecture and the excellent service helped us quickly unwind from the bustle of everyday life. We’ll be back on our next trip to beautiful Hamburg. Cobwebs on the lamp and hidden ceiling ventilation, in an apartment hotel that costs this much? It might happen sometimes, but that doesn't make it okay. It's unhygienic, and we won't book here again. I've stayed in vacation apartments that were much cleaner and in perfect condition.
