The PIN code for the room was a nice change from having to keep track of keys. It’s just a few steps from the nearest U-Bahn station, and the accommodation is clean, chill, and cheap. Ideal for young solo travelers. The neighborhood, unfortunately, doesn’t feel very safe at night.

The kitchen has everything you need, from an oven, dishes, and cutlery to some porridge and sugar that previous guests had probably left behind. I had my own nicely furnished single room, with enough space, while the bathroom and shower were shared. I didn’t run into other guests there during my stay. It’s a great choice if you want a private room without paying for an expensive hotel or staying in a shared room. I’ll book again next time I’m in Hamburg 🤝🏻

It’s in a quiet area, close to the U-bahn, with some shops and restaurants nearby. I hardly saw anyone else during my two nights, so I’d recommend it if you’re introverted. The rooms are decent for the price. My single-bed booking came with a nice bed, a wardrobe you can lock with a padlock if you bring one, a small working refrigerator, and a cabinet with cookware and utensils. Around 10 to 12 in the morning, they send a text and/or email with a PIN for the hotel and room, so there’s no room key, which I liked. The shared areas have male and female toilets and showers, plus a kitchen with two microwaves and two stoves. I had a very enjoyable stay and would happily come back.

The lack of sound insulation gave me a literal headache, and I couldn’t sleep at all. I could hear my neighbor snoring, the main door slamming every now and then, and the hand dryer going off constantly. If you’re over 30 and need good sleep, this isn’t the place for you. It’s only suitable for young backpackers, and absolutely not for anyone looking for peace and quiet.
