Hotel St. Annen

The location was a real plus, just a five-minute walk from the evening nightlife. Breakfast was delicious, and the room had everything I needed, all good quality. The staff were very helpful too. Probably the best hotel experience I’ve had.

We’d definitely consider staying here again if we visit Hamburg. The surroundings were pleasant and quiet, with the main essentials nearby, and getting around was easy thanks to the great connections. Everyone was friendly and helpful, and the atmosphere felt very welcoming.

The hotel itself was great, quiet, and had some of the friendliest staff we’ve met. We thought about leaving the day we arrived, but chose to stay and not run away. The reason was the neighborhood: the signs and stickers on the walls, along with the radicals nearby, made us feel unsafe as Jews. This isn’t the hotel’s fault, but the message we got was that Jews are unsafe here again. It starts with signs, and we all know how it ends. I can’t recommend the area to fellow Jews.

We had a lovely time as a family. The breakfast was great and everyone was pleased, and the service was splendid, helpful, and proactive. Our family room for four was nice, and there was AC in the room. The area has plenty of restaurants and bars and is busy, though we weren’t disturbed at night. There’s also a small car garage with two chargers.
