Ibis Budget Hamburg St Pauli Messe

The beds were hard and came with just one very thin pillow, so it was difficult to sleep comfortably. Otherwise, it was a nice stay, with a nice room and great breakfast where everyone can find something to eat. The location is very good, within walking distance of almost everything.

The hotel was okay, nothing special, and there was no tea service in the room. For international customers, they can't provide an invoice in English. The invoices also generally leave out information such as the hotel's USt-IdNr, the VAT number.

Breakfast was extremely minimal, almost poor, especially for €19.90. You can get a much better breakfast for that price in the area. The AC wasn't working, and opening the window made it unbearably noisy. The room was hot and stuffy, and our night was completely ruined. We got no rest.

They gave me a room four hours before the earliest check-in time that day, after I'd checked in online the day before and said I'd arrive before 12. I expected them just to hold my luggage, so that was excellent service. The hotel is a nice mid-size place right by the south tip of Planten und Bloomen park and near a metro station. My room was small but functional and clean, with daily room service. Staff were friendly and welcoming.
