Our highlight during the port anniversary celebrations was this wonderful little holiday home. It's charming, has everything we needed, and sits in a prime spot by a quiet stretch of Elbe beach. We could watch boats from the skylight, and the Blankenese ring line bus stop is right in front of you.

We went during the week, when there were hardly any people around, and it was super relaxing. Everything is close enough to reach on foot or by bike, and Blankenese absolutely met, or even exceeded, what we hoped to experience. Our landlady was excellent and very supportive, thank you so much! The place is small, but offers much more than a hotel room, and it's right on the Elbe River. There are a lot of stairs, with a steep staircase that feels unique, but I'm over 60 and managed it without a problem. A fantastic stay in an incredible setting.

A tiny, lovely holiday home right by the Elbe River, almost. Just right for a relaxing break for two.
