The location was good, and the shower had hot water with working heat in the room. Beyond that, this was my worst accommodation experience in 20 years of traveling to more than 30 countries. I booked through booking.com and asked about early check-in or leaving my luggage before 3 pm, but they declined. On arrival I couldn’t reach reception without going to the fourth floor with a room key; when I called, they again said I couldn’t leave my luggage, then the line cut out. The bedroom smelled disgusting. There were strange marks all over the walls, the bathroom towel had someone else’s full face makeup on it, and the toilet seat felt unclean. The shower stall was very narrow, mold was all around it, and the shower head was broken. There was a large closet in the room, but it was locked. The bed and room were very uncomfortable for all three nights. I’m sharing this honestly because I trusted the other five-star reviews and clearly made the wrong call. I have photos for reference.

We booked at the last minute for one night and loved it. The electronic card entry was handy since we didn’t know exactly when we’d arrive. The room was great, with thought put into all the little details. I’d seen comments that the shower was small, but I liked it: compact, and there’s a big mirror opposite. Our windows faced a noisy street, but it’s a huge city, so closing them let us sleep peacefully. Fresh, hot croissants were a lovely way to start the day. Thanks for the hospitality, I’ll definitely be back.

Receptionist Sean was friendly and helpful, and I’m very grateful to him. Check-in and checkout were smooth, and the housekeeping team deserves thanks too. My room was huge for one person, and the noise level suited me perfectly. The hotel is very convenient and good value, with a perfect location. Shops and churches are nearby, as are cafés where you can grab something quick, and breakfast is provided. I’ll definitely stay here again when I’m back in Hamburg.

The room was great and the location is perfect. Staff were nice and helpful, but reception is open for limited hours, so they can’t hold luggage before check-in or after checkout. The WiFi was awful.

The hotel is perfectly located, but the room felt small and old-fashioned. The little shower was especially cramped, with hardly any room to move. There aren’t any facilities, not even a lounge, so the price felt too high.
