The hotel was decent enough otherwise, but one awful night ruined our stay. I lost our room key, and the reception was fully automated. After 10 PM the machine wouldn't let us do anything, and nobody answered the phone. At midnight, my two small children and I were left out on the street with no way back into the room, so we had to book another hotel right then. The next morning I tried to get a new key, but the system still had technical problems and wouldn't work. To this day, nobody from the hotel has sent us a message, an apology, or any sign of concern. I'm deeply disappointed and absolutely wouldn't recommend this place.

The room was clean, nicely decorated, and well located for public transport, and I have no complaints about the accommodation itself. The parking costs, though, were too much. Around the hotel I later saw plenty of spaces that cost €30 for the whole week. Beware of scams. Sleephotels had advertised free parking. But the day before we arrived, I got entry instructions saying parking was €25 a day and had to be reserved in advance because spaces were limited. Worried there wouldn't be a spot, I reserved one. At check-in, the machine charged me €89: €75 for three days of parking and €14 in tourist tax that I hadn't known about.

The room was modern, beautiful, and clean, and the location in Hamburg was nice. But the room seemed designed for photos: the bright, spacious bathroom had nowhere at all to put toiletries. A basic water cooker would be good, too. There's no staff on site if something goes wrong. Better communication beforehand would make a big difference. The check-in location and the actual hotel are in separate places, a drive apart, but nobody told us. Public parking around the hotel is free, yet staff didn't mention it. They only said hotel parking cost €15 per day and could be paid when we picked up the keys.

A good option for budget travel with family or friends, and an alternative to dirty hostels. The room was big and clean, with two double beds. The bed was okay, but the pillows were very thin, and the bathroom had no door. Check-in is at a different address, and there's a city tax of 3 euros per night.
