The room was big and had its own bathroom and shower, plus a hair dryer. It wasn't attached to the room, though, so we had to cross the public corridor to reach it. There was just one key for four people, and no safe. Getting bags upstairs was awkward without an elevator. On the plus side, we found seven electrical outlets, and there was a free fan in the room. The snack and hot drink machines were fairly cheap, as was the stay, and there was a free fridge in the common room. Parking cost 5 euros a day, but the parking area wasn't secured.

Our private double room with an ensuite was spacious and spotless, and the bathroom was better than in many hotels we've stayed in. We were pleasantly surprised by how good it was. The hotel is 3 km from the old town, with frequent trams into the city.

The location is the main drawback, since it's a long way from downtown Heidelberg. Trams run every 10 minutes during working hours, but evening waits are much longer. The staff were very nice and the facilities good, and for the price I thought it was very good value.

We had clean rooms and comfortable beds for a reasonable price. WiFi was unreliable in our room. Getting to Altstadt takes a bit of planning: walk 5-10 minutes to the bus, then ride for 15 minutes. Still a good option if you don't mind that.

We were close to the train station, so the place was easy to find. Our large, clean first-floor room slept three, and the beds were incredibly comfortable. The toilet was good, though the showerhead holder was broken but still worked. Parking costs 7 euros. You can take a tram or bus into the center, and they run all day. If you don't already have a ticket, take the bus, since you can't buy one on the tram.
