Hotel Elite Heidelberg

For a good price, this independent hotel gives you a nice bed and a clean bathroom, so it does the job. Breakfast was dull, but there are plenty of cafes in the city for something simple and nice.

The mattress sagged in the middle like a hammock and felt well past its useful life, maybe by 10 years. The price seemed too high for what you get. You can probably find somewhere else in Heidelberg that’s more comfortable for a better deal.

Very dirty rooms, and there’s no lift. One room didn’t even have shampoo or soap. The reception is empty after 8, and the place is way overpriced. Best to avoid if you can.

It’s fine if all you need is somewhere to sleep, but it doesn’t feel like home. The towels were badly worn and the cleanliness was below standard. I’d guess the owners haven’t invested in the place for 10 years. The location is good, less than a 10-minute walk from the city.
