The old town location is fantastic, with the train station only about a five-minute walk away. The apartments work well for a short Lake Constance stay, mostly because of that location, but there are some reservations. The rooms are clean and quiet, with a fridge, toaster, TV and other basics. In the evenings, people sit outside at the bar opposite, so sleeping with the window open can be difficult. The balcony facing the small courtyard is less peaceful too, since you can clearly hear conversations and TV from other apartments. The furnishings, especially the bathrooms, are long overdue for updating. The Atelier Probst website also looks like it's from the 1990s. The IT needs attention as well: Wi-Fi drops constantly, which is simply unacceptable nowadays.

The old town location is lovely, but the smaller courtyard “holiday home” was musty, damp, dark and unclean. Its listed size was inaccurate, and the furniture was uncomfortable and sparse.

The courtyard-facing balcony was really pleasant, and the apartment is central while still quiet at night. The price was great, probably because the external staircase puts many people off. You can smell that smoking is allowed in the entryway. The bathroom was very damp, and the apartment could use a refresh.

The heating worked really well in the cold, and the place was very clean. It's right in central Konstanz, which is a great location. I'd definitely come back.
