ibis Konstanz

The old town is close by, and the hotel was very clean and well priced. We appreciated being able to check out at 12 o’clock, so there was time to sleep in. The reception staff were friendly, and there’s a secure garage under the hotel for cars. It costs 13 euros for 24 hours, which felt very affordable. I’d recommend it, and I’ll stay here again on my next trip to Konstanz.

The rooms are spacious, stylish, and newly refurbished, and the reception desk looks nice. They’re still working on the renovation, but have done their best to make things comfortable for guests. Staff were polite, though their behaviour struck me as a bit bizarre (foreign students?). There’s paid underground parking. I couldn’t get the online TV to work, so I wasn’t able to watch anything.

The room was clean and modern, and the staff were friendly. Breakfast had a good range of tasty, healthy options. For the price, the location is great: it’s a 12-minute walk from Konstanz-Petershausen station, right by the Rhine River, and a pleasant stroll from the Old Town. I’d stay here again.

Breakfast was the highlight for us, with a huge selection of high-quality food that was constantly replenished. It was the best breakfast I’ve had at any of the Ibis hotels I’ve stayed in. The bed was clean, staff in reception and the dining area were friendly, and we appreciated getting two room cards for two guests. There’s secure parking beneath the hotel too. In room 435, though, there was black mold in the bathroom and a lot of hair in the shower and stuck to the tiles. We couldn’t connect a laptop by HDMI to watch our own movie, as we usually do in hotels. The room Wi-Fi didn’t work well, and there was no mobile signal in the room or hallway. We were left without internet and couldn’t even make calls. Despite those issues, the breakfast impressed us enough that I have to give it a great rating. ❤️
