Krün feels like an actual farming village, away from the busier tourist towns in the Karwendel area. You hear the cows' bells as they're herded out to the meadows, and a bus links the village with the main towns. With mountains all around and a beautiful traditional setting, it's a lovely base for hiking or mountain biking if you want to experience Bavaria. At Schöttlkarspitz, the service was friendly and excellent, our room was clean and comfortable for a reasonable price, and breakfast was amazing.

The views were beautiful, and the rooms were clean with a quaint feel. The staff were wonderful too. We'd absolutely stay here again!

Krün's got a great atmosphere, good beer, and food that was every bit as good as the excellent service. We made some great memories here. Be sure to stop by when you're in town.

The food was good and it was a quiet place. The lady was very helpful with us, the only foreigners staying at this gasthof.
