The animals are clearly well cared for, and everyone made us feel so welcome. Our landlady had recommended the farm, so we decided to visit the Fraiders on a whim. I even managed to ride twice during our one week there, and the Western riding was fantastic. I'm absolutely thrilled and will definitely come back. Thanks :-)

There’s plenty to see and do nearby, and I’d be happy to return. I felt at ease with the people and animals straight away, thanks to the friendly, relaxed atmosphere. My first riding lesson was fantastic. Ina introduced me to the horse and taught me the basics with real skill and kindness. Many thanks to her!

The apartments are comfortable and have everything we needed. Around the farm there are different places to sit, plus a spot for a campfire and barbecue. The riding lessons were fun as well as educational, with good horsemanship being taught. Even the farm’s authentic design shows how much care and passion went into it. The sign at the entrance says, “Enter as a guest, leave as a friend,” and that feels just right. It’s a beautiful farm.

We enjoyed walking through the woods and fields, and bike rides are a great option too. There are lots of day trips around beautiful Holstein Switzerland, with the Baltic Sea and several swimming lakes nearby. Back at the farm, there are plenty of spots to relax, including a covered barbecue area with lots of seating and a grill by the campfire in an idyllic corner that gets the evening sun. It’s a wonderful place for families. The hosts are friendly, tolerant, and competent. Dogs are welcome, and the farm animals all seem to live happily and without stress.

Children can play in the straw, ride the wooden horse, and look at the rabbits and other small animals. The lounge has board games and is a cozy place to unwind. Outside, the covered area has plenty of room and a great cooking space, all with rustic Western and cowboy touches. The horses are great, in excellent condition and well trained. The instruction is super competent. You can learn a lot about horses here, and if you pay attention, about yourself too. Anyone who already does Western riding or wants to give it a try will feel right at home. If you have a particular plan for your time at Hof Fraider, contact the Fraider family directly. They’re flexible. Benz is rural, with no shops, cinema, or promenade. For outings beyond Hof Fraider, check Google Maps or the Holstein Switzerland area in advance. It’s beautiful, but a car is useful because buses and public transport are limited. The price feels very fair. Highly recommended!
