A good place to stop overnight. My room was spacious and had a well-equipped kitchenette, with free parking right outside. The lock took me four tries to figure out: after entering the code, you have to turn the knob. Finding the entrance at night can also be tricky if you come from the “wrong” side of the street.

I expected a relaxing stay, but after 22:00 there was no food available. No room service, vending machine, or even a sandwich, so it felt like a pool-less purgatory with nowhere to get a late-night snack. Not even a decorative fountain to pretend to drown my sorrows in.

The bed made for a rough night. My wife and I both found the mattress really itchy, and we couldn’t sleep well, which is essential for me at any apartment, hotel, or motel. We could also hear footsteps from a neighboring room or the room upstairs. With no air conditioning, it wasn’t an ideal place to stay on a sunny day. On the plus side, the location was good, the property seemed new, and the self check-in worked really well. There was an electric car charging station, and we enjoyed breakfast outside in a cozy little garden spot on a sunny day.

We’ve stayed here on the way to England and back, and we’ll keep coming. It’s a cozy, convenient motel and really good value. We travel with our cat, and on our last four visits we’ve also had our one-year-old with us. They let us charge the car too. There isn’t much within walking distance, with shops about 20 minutes away, but plenty is only a short drive from here.

It was small, but practical and very comfortable, and we really liked it. Everything was well equipped and very clean. The kitchen could use a couple more chairs, since there were only two for four people staying in two bedrooms.
