Admiral Hotel

Check-in left me feeling held up and robbed. We had booked and paid in advance on Priceline, and I emailed the hotel beforehand to confirm a room for two adults and two kids. Still, they hit us with an extra $300, charging $100\euro a night because four people were staying in a room designed for four. The location is fine, though traffic noise is plentiful. The rooms are extremely basic, with no amenities. I might have been okay with the room if that extra charge hadn't happened.

The breakfast area was lovely, and the rooms were modern and a good size. It's not right in the center, but lots of attractions are within walking distance. A great hotel.

There were lots of nearby restaurants we could walk to, and Uber arrived quickly when we needed it. The neighborhood was quiet, and the Metro (S-bahn) station was a short walk away. The staff were kind and helpful. Our spacious, clean room was nicely decorated, with a comfortable bed. I also appreciated the bathroom towel drying racks and all the outlets for charging devices. Breakfast was lovely, with meats, cheeses, fresh pastries, granola, fruit, eggs, juice, coffee, and tea. Everything tasted delicious. We had an awesome stay.

Breakfast in the lovely green backyard was a nice touch, and the staff made us feel very welcome. Vicky deserves a special thank you for her warm hospitality. The location is great, about a 10-minute walk to the main plaza in the Old Town. Our room was spotless, comfortable, and wonderfully quiet, so we slept really well. We had an amazing stay at Hotel Admiral and will definitely return. We'd give it 10 stars if we could.
