Maritim München Hotel

The hotel itself was fine. The room was clean and comfortable, the elevators were quick, and the staff were friendly. Breakfast was pretty decent if you get it, and the bar was great, with a lovely gentleman playing piano most nights. I did have a water leak under the toilet on a few days, though not every day. My bigger concern is the neighborhood, despite being right across from Munich's main train station. It felt rough and dirty, with lots of trash and smoking, and I saw a couple of guys peeing on a wall. You also need to be much more alert to pickpockets. The city should put some care into the area, especially with the 10 year train station construction project. It was fine for my business trip, but I wouldn’t stay here with my family. If it’s your first trip to Munich, especially with kids, I’d pick another area.

Getting around Munich was easy from here. The hotel is a short walk from the main train station and near plenty of shops and attractions. The rooms were spacious, clean and comfortable, and I slept well in the bed. Breakfast was well organised and had lots of options. It can get a bit busy at peak times, and some parts of the hotel could use a small update. Still, I had a very good stay at Maritim Hotel München and found it a reliable, comfortable choice.

It’s pretty much what I expect from Maritime, though the major tourist spots are a little out of the way. There’s no iron or ironing board in the room, but a laundry is within walking distance.

The hotel was very quiet, and the room was clean and tidy, with a comfortable bed and a really powerful shower. It’s close to the train station. Breakfast had a huge spread, with great German breads, eggs, sausages and even champagne. There were a few suspicious-looking people on the street outside. That’s not anything to do with the hotel.
