Drei Löwen Hotel

The staff were the highlight for me. Everyone was warm, helpful, and personable, and breakfast was lovely. I was happy with the visit overall, especially as a downtown option near Haupbahnhof. The street noise was a real drawback. Groups nearby were often yelling and talking loudly, and the street felt a bit unsafe to me, so I’d ask for a room away from it. Parking downtown was very crowded, but the 5 Hotel across the street let me use its underground garage with an elevator. Drei has no guest laundry, though a laundry facility is very close and easy to use. There are several restaurants around. Lowenbrau Keller Biergarden, co-owned by the Drei, is about a 15-minute walk, and the Drei Rexeptionist can offer 25% off and make a reservation. Bring the paper with the discount. Munchner Stubn is just a block away and was excellent; Ca'd'Oro Italian was good too, and I’d recommend reserving. Marienplatz is easy to reach on foot, and bus tours leave a few blocks away near its entrance.

We arrived late at night with my son, and the reception stays open 24 hours. It’s super close to the main station. The breakfast service was amazing, and the customer service was so kind. I’d definitely book Drei Löven again if I’m in Munich, highly recommended.

The rooms could use an update, but the rest of my stay was fantastic. Breakfast was very good, and the lobby felt welcoming and stylish. The reception team was outstanding, especially Aneta, who was incredibly friendly and gave me excellent guidance.

The best part was how the hotel handled a lost bracelet. My boyfriend left it in our room, and after I messaged to ask whether they’d found it and could send it home, they located it and took it to the post office. It finally arrived, and they responded quickly and kept me updated. We’re extremely grateful and recommend staying here wholeheartedly. Those five stars come from the bottom of our hearts. The location is perfect, right by the main station, with lots of restaurants and the Old town nearby. Our room was big and cozy, the bed very comfortable, and the staff amazing.
