Hotel Säntis

Quiet, clean, and with really nice rooms, this was a delightful hotel near my son’s place outside Munich. The breakfast was absolutely delicious, and I can’t think of a single negative thing to say. Two thumbs way up, highly recommend.

The rooms are quite small, but clean. Breakfast was decent and there was more than enough. A good, decent hotel in a convenient location, with excellent, very friendly service.

I'm a returning customer, but that’s over now. I booked again last week and arrived around midnight without giving them advance notice. The on-call number didn’t answer, so I had to find another hotel. I called today to ask if they’d offer a goodwill solution and got nothing but silly accusations. I understand the contract says they can keep my money if I wasn’t accommodated, but they could at least have stayed polite. You’ve definitely lost me as a customer.

The walls are so thin that loud bangs and scratching from housekeeping and hotel staff woke us early every morning. Laundry was another issue. Both the website and Booking.com say they offer it, and the website says to bring it down daily before 9AM. But when we asked the older man at the front desk, he said they couldn’t do our laundry during Oktoberfest. That was over our 4-day stay. He seemed bothered that we’d even asked. They should take the laundry service off the website.
