City-Hotel München

We got the best deal by booking on the hotel’s website, and there was nothing to complain about during our stay. It’s close to many of Munich’s historic and cultural spots, and we walked to the old town and Old Pinoteke. Our room was clean and spacious, with a safe box. You can borrow an iron from the front desk. The shower worked well, the bed was comfortable, and the air-conditioning had no problems. Breakfast was good and plentiful, with service on point.

The beds were very comfortable, and the location was handy for the train station and other attractions. Still, we wouldn’t stay again. It was expensive and everything felt very basic. Noise from the hostels across the street was hard to appreciate, and cigarette smoke drifted in through our open windows. We had to keep them open because the room was very warm despite the “a/c” and the in-room fan. The bathroom was far too tiny, and the shower design left water all over the floor. If convenience is all you care about, it’s a great place. If you also want some space, comfort, or quiet, look elsewhere.

We booked this hotel for one night before heading to Frankfurt the next day. The location is good and the room was otherwise okay, but there was an unpleasant smell as soon as I walked in. After my shower, water started flowing very slowly into the room, which was uncomfortable. I’ve stayed at other branches that were much better, and this one didn’t meet the same standards.

Being close to the train station was the one good thing about this hotel. The rooms were dirty, and when my partner's medical condition meant we had to go back to our country for hospital care, we asked about a refund for the nights we could no longer stay. We had a doctor's note, but the hotel refused.
