We came from Washington, DC, and the staff were so courteous, friendly, and kind. They went out of their way to make the stay pleasant. You're greeted by a smiling face when you walk in. The hotel isn't very big or over the top like some of the better-known chains, but it has a quaint, calming feel. It didn't feel eerie, just relaxing. Our main point of contact was Igor, who was very nice. I even offered to let him drive my rental BMW M3, but he respectfully declined. I'd give the whole hotel five stars, and I really think Igor deserves a raise and more money in his paycheck.

We arrived at 4pm and were given two rooms that hadn't been cleaned. Then, at 8pm on 30 Dec 2018, there was no hot water when we wanted to shower. The man at reception said the whole building was without hot water and we'd have to wait until the next day. We couldn't shower at all, and no one offered any solution. It was very strange and completely unacceptable. We won't return. It made me feel as if we weren't in Germany, maybe South Africa!

The breakfast was good, and the room was clean, though very basic. But the bathroom smelled strongly of Clo. Booking.com showed €76, while booking directly at the hotel cost €89. For that price, I've stayed in many better hotels.

The staff were helpful, and the room was large, very clean, and quite comfortable for a good price. Breakfast was basic but good enough, and there was a gym available. It's close to zoogarden, with a nice Italian restaurant nearby.

We used the hotel as a stopover in Munich, though I'd be happy to come back. The staff were awesome, and the hotel was clean and comfortable. It's by the river in a calm, peaceful spot, away from the city's hustle.
