Leonardo Hotel Munich City Olympiapark

One small letdown was the bathroom towels, which seemed worn. Coffee pods and complimentary water were only provided on the first day. Otherwise, this was good value, with very friendly, helpful staff and an enjoyable breakfast offering a good selection for the price. It's conveniently placed near trams and buses, not too far from the city centre. Olympia Park, Munich is within walking distance and easy to reach by public transport too. I'd recommend it to friends and family.

We found a lovely park nearby and enjoyed several walks there. The hotel was fine for our location needs, with a bus stop close by, though the ride into the centre takes about 20 minutes. We bought a €20 ticket each that let us use the bus without limits for all four days, and managed to see every Christmas market in Munich. The staff were welcoming, friendly and helpful throughout our four-night stay. Our basic room had what we needed: it was clean, a comfortable temperature, and had a lovely shower, an espresso machine, a kettle, a fridge and a safe. Breakfast was gorgeous, with lots of hot and cold options, and the pancake machine was great. There was also a lovely bar to relax in the evenings, with reasonable hotel drink prices. We'd definitely stay again and recommend a visit.

The shower tray drained slowly, in our room and in my son's neighbouring one, so water spilled onto the bathroom floor. I mentioned it to staff at checkout; they were understandably concerned and said they'd look into it. That was the only small downside. We loved the stay, with an excellent room, buffet breakfast and amazing staff. The hotel is close to the tram line and a really cool pub called Axel F.

The staff made the stay, everyone was warm and ready to help. Breakfast was fresh, plentiful, and really tasty. The hotel is great value, too, with a peaceful spot near Olympiapark that’s still well connected. I’d happily come back.
