Living Hotel am Deutschen Museum

Derag Living Hotel was a very good place to stay. It’s conveniently located near the train station, close to the central station, and has a direct connection to the airport. The room had a kitchenette, and the hotel offered a gym, good breakfast facilities, a large parking lot, and washers, dryers, and irons in the basement. Staff were polite, listened to problems, and tried to resolve them quickly. They understood what guests needed and often had things ready, like a luggage scale before heading to the airport or extra towels and bathroom supplies.

The facilities were good, and our room was fine and well equipped. The gym and daily housekeeping were useful during our six-night holiday-season stay. The hospitality let the experience down, though. Staff from reception to housekeeping came across as unfriendly. The in-room coffee was never replenished, and when housekeeping came in while we were still there, they often seemed uncomfortable or displeased. The hotel could improve the way it treats guests.

The room could have been nice, but it was unbearably hot. Even with it only 2 degrees outside, I slept naked without a blanket and still felt a little too warm. I like a warm room, but not one where I have to be naked to feel comfortable.

The location suited me perfectly, both for getting to the airport and for visiting the area I wanted to see. I stayed three nights and was glad to have a kitchenette. The room was clean and quiet, and the bed was comfortable.
